About the position:
As a member of ACCION USA`s marketing team, you will contribute to our mission by supporting ACCION USA`s online and multimedia presence, including Website, social media sites, video strategy, and blog.
Core responsibilities
Oversee the daily maintenance of ACCION USA`s Website and blog
With support from the Communications Director, drive Website to generate qualified loan leads and meet other determined conversion goals (newsletter sign-up, financial education program engagement, donations, etc.)
Proactively uncover opportunities for Website technology and content enhancements, particularly to meet organizational, search engine optimization, and loan conversion goals.
Lead continued growth of ACCION USA`s social media strategy. Create new partnerships and engage our client & donor communities utilizing social media tools.
Advocate for social media participation among ACCION USA staff, executive team, and board. Train board and staff on social media policies and advocacy techniques.
Strategize to build ACCION USA`s email distribution list, and contribute to email communications to clients, community partners, and donors.
Work cross-departmentally to ensure that online strategy contributes to other organizational projects - such as product launches, fundraising initiatives, etc.
Create engaging written and video content, for both online and offline use including borrower and donor profiles and copy for print marketing collateral and presentations.
Build existing database of client photos, videos and written profiles by proactively interviewing clients.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree
1-2 years of previous internship/work experience
Passionate about social media as a networking and marketing tool. Active on social media sites and knowledgeable about social media/online marketing trends and strategies
Tech-savvy and eager to learn
You enjoy "learning by doing" and work productively in an independent work environment
You have "a way with words" and an "eye for design"
Innovative, creative, friendly, enthusiastic
Preferred
Fluent or Bilingual written English/Spanish strongly preferred
Familiarity with HTML, Website content management systems, and traffic analytics
Experience with basic desktop publishing
Previous experience with basic video editing (Flip video, for example)
